From its beginnings in 1967 TRT, a privately owned family business, has built its reputation on innovation, engineering design expertise, and exceeding customer demands.
With over 150 staff, TRT is comprised of five integrated businesses: Manufacturing Engineering, Travel Towers, Truck and Trailer Parts, Mechanical Service and Repair, and Crane. Working from purpose built facilities of over 7500 square metres in Hamilton; TRT operates throughout New Zealand and Australia, with a wide range of engineering skills and expertise for the Construction and Road Transport Industries.
Transport Parts
TRT stocks the Waikato region's largest range of Transport Parts for the Road Transport Industry. Our modern warehouse is complemented by our Auckland branch, and together are central to over half of New Zealand's population.

Mechanical Services
TRT operate from Hamilton with state-of-the-art mechanical and hydraulic service capabilities, including full Brake Diagnosis Systems. TRT's service division offers the full range of mechanical service from lubes through to full engine and drive train rebuilds, chassis modification and repair. TRT also manage fully customised fleet maintenance programmes for both owner operator as well as major truck fleets.
The variety and volume of work through both the fabrication and mechanical workshops, provides an excellent opportunity for training, and we continue our long tradition of regularly employing new apprentices.
Manufacturing Engineering
Long recognised as the leading manufacturer of specialist Trailers, TRT has successfully developed a range of Trailers to meet a demanding range of customer needs. A team of very experienced engineers at our purpose built Hamilton Facility fabricate Trailers under ISO9002 quality standards.
A Key feature of our service is our in-house design team who work with customers to understand their requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.

In addition to the design and build of new Trailers and specialised equipment, we also offer a repair and modification service and fit out of new Trucks.
Crane
Sales, Parts, and full service support for: Grove and GMK Mobile Cranes, Potain Tower Cranes, and Manitowoc Crawler Cranes, as well as other access and crane makes.
TRT also manufacture TIDD Articulating Mobile Cranes. Slewing up to 42 degrees each side combined with a short 4.3m forward projection means the TIDD achieves an outstanding turning circle radius of only
14.42m. at only 2.5m wide, Hi Tensile Steel Booms give superior strength and a lower COG that achieves superior lift charts.
